I almost gagged to night at work. A older lady came in my store with bejewelled jeans and a sweatshirt. On her sweatshirt was a large picture of Barack Obama and in big bold letters was the phrase "He's Black and I'm Proud".
WTF? You know, it is ignorance like that, that makes GA 49th in the nation. Seriously I cannot get over how many people voted for him because he was black. I think it is so moronic, ignorant, stupid, etc. to vote that way!
I did not vote for him, nor did I vote for the other big ticket guy. I don't think either one of them was qualified. They did not meet the standards to which I want my president to be held. I informed myself on their issues, policies and stances. I did research. I researched all the people I wanted in office. Some Dems and some Repubs. I don't care for the two party system...I think it is a pigeon hole.
Back to topic. It is just appalling that people have voted for this man because of the color of his skin. And then announcing it to the world on their damn shirts! That is like voting for HRC and wearing a shirt with a big vagina on it saying "She's a Woman and I'm Proud" (Thanks Michelle). This woman didn't do research, she judged the book by the cover.
Has it occurred to anyone else that this is how we got into the crap situation we are in? Has it occurred to anyone else tha maybe, just maybe, we ought to hold people accountable, start asking our government officials what they are doing for us. Just becuase they are in office, doesn't mean they have our best interest at heart.
I'm just sick. Please don't get me wrong. I am an American and I will support Obama because he is my president. I may not agree with some of his policies, but I will not be negative about it. I just can't imagine the thoughts that some people have on their voting. I mean, they must run their daily lives that way. How do they make it out of bed/house alive? How do they function?

Dear Obama
Good Morning,
I did not vote for you. I don't believe you will bring governmental change. I didn't think McCain (McSame) would either. That is why I voted Independent. I think our government should be more in line with what the people want, not big government. It is the people that make this country great, not the government. You start talking about how great the government is, and we will be a socialist republic instead of a democreatic republic before too long.
But I truly am outraged that you would be considering HRC for your Secretary of State. You have said change, change, change until I can't stomach the word and now you are bringing the whole clan back? That isn't change. Please walk the walk...that is what you as a President are expected to do. I want to believe you, but your actions have proved my first impression of you.
I don't think you have enough experience yet. I think you have a great attitude and the ability, I just think you haven't acquired the skills as of yet. 27 weeks of work in the senate is not enough time to prove you are the man for the job. Although, I think I would have moved out of the country if HRC was elected. I would rather choose to live under someone's thumb, rather than have my rights be taken away little by little.
Please reconsider moving her back into the White House. It will change for the bad if you do.
Sincerely (and optimistically hopeful)
Laura Kirby
